Welcome to our FAQs section! As you can imagine we get asked a lot of questions with all the services we offer here at Al Duomo. Therefore we’ve compiled a list of the most common, to save you time waiting for a response and allowing our team to provide a more bespoke service we the extra time.

Are there baby changing facilities in the restaurant?

Yes our baby changing room is located on the ground floor

Do you have disabled access?

We have disabled access to the main floor and a fully accessible disabled toilet

Do you have a lift?

Unfortunately, we do not have a lift to the 1st floor/mezzanine levels

Do I need to make a reservation at Al Duomo?

We advise you to make a reservation if you want to ensure a table on arrival, otherwise you can wait in our bar area and we will accommodate you as soon as possible on busier days.

How far in advance can I book?

We take bookings up to 12 months in advance. Visit our Bookings Page

Do I need to pay a deposit for a large group of 9 or more?

We may require a deposit for a large group, this especially at the weekends, this is to ensure that your table is secured. Please use our special booking enquiry form.

What is a party room?

A room shared with 3 or 4 similar parties to create an unforgettable party atmosphere for your event

Can a large group just turn up without a booking?

Yes, however as above we always advise you to call ahead and book to ensure a table is available on arrival or the possible waiting time, especially on busy nights

We have a large party booked do we have to be on time?

Yes your party must be on time, guests can arrive earlier and have a drink in the bar, as we have a 2.5 hour turnaround time on tables. The time that the table is booked for is the time your group needs to be seated all together so we can take the order.

Can I pay for a deposit and book on line?

Yes you can book and pay a deposit  online here for larger parties.

How long will you hold my booking for?

On very busy times we will only hold your booking for 15 minutes. ( This is down to managers discretion )

Do you take booking for tables Al Fresco?

Generally we don’t take reservations  for large tables outside, we do turn over the tables fairly quickly

Do I need to pay a deposit for a large group.

We do require a deposit of £10 per person for large groups over 8 people so that we can secure the table. As a small family business we depend on our customers showing up for there table at the allotted time booked.

Cancellation Policy on Deposits

Within four weeks of booking, total loss of deposit.

Within six weeks of booking, loss of 50% of deposit.

What is the dress code?


Do you have private rooms?

Yes we have private rooms available details of which can be found here Private Rooms

Where do the Cabaret Nights Happen?

The Cabaret Nights take place in our Basement room

Are dogs allowed in the restaurant?

Yes we are a dog friendly restaurant. We ask that they remain on a lead at all times.

Do You Accept personal cheques?

No we no longer accept personal cheques.

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes we accept all major credit/debit cards

Do you have air conditioning?

We do have air conditioning for the comfort of guests in the basement ground floor and mezzanine areas.

Can you use Vapour cigarettes inside the building?

No we don’t allow the use of Vapour or  E-cigarettes inside the building.

Can you smoke on the terrace?

Yes you can smoke on the terrace, we do ask that you be mindful of other guests and children in the vicinity.

Are you located near the major Hotels?

Are you near the Theatre Royal, Dome, Corn Exchange and Komedia?

Is anything on your menu Gluten Free or Vegan?

Yes we have many GF and Vegan options across all of our menus

Do you cater for different dietary requirements?

Yes we cater for any dietary requirements, please advise your server upon ordering

Do you have a kids menu?

We do have a kids menu with smaller portions for all our junior customers

What to do in Brighton on a wet windy day

Coming to Brighton on a wet windy day, well you could visit the Royal Pavilion next door or the Brighton Museum, we’re right next door open from 10.00 for delicious coffees, or teas. Lunch from 12.00 noon and we are open all day until late. 

Bring the family, grand parent even the dogs welcome, we have plenty of space for you to relax after you walk on the beach or around Brighton.
